I love to wear themed outfits to teach classes or just workout on the holidays. I couldn’t wait to wear my Asics heart shorts to teach on Valentine’s Day, and so it makes my heart pitter patter a little that I will once again be teaching on St. Patrick’s Day. It is one of the few days during the year when I can strut around with fair skin and dark hair with pride. And every St. Patrick’s Day I pull out my special outfit purchased from Lululemon a couple of years ago. I swear they designed the bright green and yellow plaid pattern just for me, and I’ve never seen anyone else wear it (and let’s be honest – with Lululemon, that’s damn near impossible). Plus this year my mom sent me a green tee that says “I’m Detroitish” on it. Thank you, Mom!
Although the Lululemon plaid pieces are no longer available, you do have options to show some Irish pride during your workout.
If you want to stick with Lululemon, their Warm Up Crew in Frond is bright and cheery. I got a little handsy with this top in the store and can say with confidence that the material is definitely runner friendly.
Another pretty option is the OMgirl Flow Tank with a Dreamcatcher motif in Tree Frog (on sale to boot!). Just note that the moment you go upside down in some fashion the folks around you will see what’s underneath the top. Just sayin’.
Finally, I had to dig through the collection of St. Patrick’s Day tees on Cafe Press to find this gem of a shamrock tank. There’s plenty of other options on the site if you want to let everyone know how drunk you are (or pretend to be), or that your “shams rock” (what does that even mean?), but I think this tank is really sweet.
Erin go bragh!
